Axle Digital ("we", "us") operates Discussions App ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

• Account information. When you sign up (including via Google sign-in) we receive your email address and basic profile information from the authentication provider.
• Audio recordings. Audio captured through your device microphone or uploaded to the Service is stored so it can be transcribed and, if you choose, downloaded again.
• Transcripts and metadata. We store the text transcripts we generate from your audio, along with speaker labels, timestamps, titles, and processing status.
• Usage and diagnostic data. We collect minimal technical logs (for example, error messages) to keep the Service running reliably.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• Transcribe your audio and generate speaker-labeled transcripts.
• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Communicate with you about the Service when necessary.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Service Providers

To operate the Service we rely on trusted third-party infrastructure providers, including cloud hosting, authentication, storage, and AI transcription providers. These providers process your data only to deliver their part of the Service and are contractually bound to protect it. Your audio is sent to AI transcription providers for the sole purpose of producing your transcripts.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

You can delete individual audio recordings at any time from within the Service; the corresponding transcript is preserved unless you delete it as well. Audio recordings are also automatically purged approximately 30 days after they are created. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

5. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport, private storage buckets, and per-user access controls that restrict each user to their own recordings and transcripts. No system is perfectly secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.

6. Your Recordings and Consent

You are responsible for ensuring that every conversation you record with the Service is captured in compliance with applicable recording, wiretap, and privacy laws, including obtaining any consent from participants required by law. See our Terms of Service for details.

7. Your Choices

• Delete individual audio recordings or transcripts from within the Service.
• Request account and data deletion by contacting us.
• Sign out at any time to end your session.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
