1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Discussions App ("the Service"), operated by Axle Digital ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Discussions App is a tool that records audio through your device microphone, transcribes the audio, and produces speaker-labeled transcripts that you can review, edit, and export. Audio and transcripts are stored in your account until you choose to delete them or until automated retention policies purge them.

3. Your Responsibility for Recording Consent and Local Law

You are solely responsible for complying with all laws and regulations that apply to recording, storing, transcribing, and sharing conversations in your jurisdiction. Recording laws vary significantly by country, state, and province. Many jurisdictions require the consent of one or all parties to a conversation before it may lawfully be recorded ("one-party" or "all-party" consent). Some jurisdictions impose additional rules for recordings made in workplaces, healthcare settings, legal proceedings, schools, or public spaces.

Before recording any conversation using the Service, you must:

Understand and follow the recording laws that apply to you and to every participant.
Obtain any consent required by law from every participant.
Provide any notice or disclosure required by law before recording begins.
Refrain from recording conversations in which you do not have a legal right to participate or capture.

Axle Digital is not responsible for unsolicited, unauthorized, unlawful, or non-consensual recordings made using the Service. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Axle Digital and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your recording, transcription, storage, or sharing of any conversation.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any law, regulation, or third-party right, including privacy and wiretap laws.
Record any person without any consent required by applicable law.
Harass, stalk, defame, or harm any individual.
Upload or generate content that infringes intellectual property, contains malware, or is otherwise unlawful.
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the audio and transcripts you create through the Service. You grant Axle Digital a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, transcribing audio, generating speaker labels, and delivering downloads).

6. Transcription Accuracy

Automatic transcription and speaker separation may contain errors. The Service is provided as a productivity tool and should not be relied on as a verbatim, court-admissible, or medical/legal record without independent review. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any transcript before relying on it.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. Axle Digital does not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that transcripts will be accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Axle Digital and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
